My painful experience in hiring IT proffessional who was not updated with new technology

As a hiring manager, I have learned the hard way that hiring an IT professional who is not updated with new technology can be a painful experience. Here with I would like to share my personal experience and the lessons I learned from it. During my hiring career one of the candidates who has the work experience of 14 years in share point and who applied for ASP.Net developer vacancy. Unfortunately, I had to reject the
profile even after the final interview sessions as his current software skills set can’t be afforded by our firm. But the way the candidate continuously requested to give an opportunity to hire him as a junior.Net developer made me so painful. He begged to give an entry to the latest technology by sacrificing his current salary to the very bottom as of junior .Net developer. So I could understand that it is incredibly important for IT professionals to upgrade their skills and knowledge with new technology and programming languages to remain competitive in the existing IT sector. Here are a few reasons why the situation of this threat of not Updating with New Technology happening.

Staying Relevant: New technologies and programming languages are constantly being introduced, and staying updated is essential in remaining relevant in the industry. Failure to do so can lead to being seen as outdated and irrelevant, which can hurt career growth and opportunities.

Career Growth: Keeping up with new technologies and programming languages can lead to more job opportunities and career growth. Employers are always looking for professionals with the latest skill sets, and having the ability to work with new technologies can lead to more opportunities for career advancement.

Increased Efficiency: New technologies and programming languages are often faster and more efficient than older ones, allowing IT professionals to complete tasks more quickly and effectively. On the other hand, individuals who are not upgrading according to new technology may find themselves at a disadvantage.
